One Tuff Nugget

Toward the end of chapter 9,when Scouts cousin(Francis) said that Scouts dad was a N****-Lover, aka a black-lover. Scouts took action. Scout really didn't known what Francis meant but she defended her dad again way. In the end, Scout puched Francis square in the mouth, with her fist. This explains Scouts character because she doesn't think before she acts, she not very lady like, and is always defends her family. In conclusion Scout is ONE TUFF NUGGET!!!

What do you think?

I hate chicken nuggets!!! However as I said somewhere else on this blog, I think Scout is awesome. She really sets herself apart from the general definition of "southern lady", making her unique from the view point of where she is from. But why does she act so different than those she was raised around? I think that the answer is the fact that she was raised by Atticus alone until Calpernia came along. It could even be the fact that she is so close to Jem that she aspires to be moe like him. Young children are indead impressionable

The reason she sets herself away from the typical southern lady, is because she hangs out with two little rascals. She wants to fit in with them and it makes her seem boyish. But yeah, she is awesome.

Throughout her childhood Scout has been pressured to be more boyish by Jem, probably because he wishes she was a boy. He always gets upset with her when she doesn't want to do the thigs he wants to do, like spy on Boo Radley. She doesn't want to be lady-like anyhow.
