Falling apart at the seams
Despite the fact that I hate the Ewells, I am extremely amused by the trial thus far. While I do think that Atticus will lose the trial simply because of the time period that they are living in, he is tearing the Ewells case apart. Mr. Ewell is simply ignorant but his bull headed attitude just further emphasizes this. What do you guys think?

I think that your just a completely hateful person....
look at it from someone elses point of view.....
SHEEEEEESHHHH!
YES...The time period of this novel will play a major conflict in the trail. I hope that Atticus will win the trail but in my gut in know that he won't.
Well i have finished the trial part and yes, Atticus loses this trial, but still has a chance later on... But, of course the time period played a major role in this trial. And, i completely agree with the poster's comment about Atticus!! He is tearing the Ewells to shreads!! I loved reading the trial!
I think Atticus will win becuase of the good prevailing over evil type of thing. Atticus is the protagonist and the Ewells are the antogonists, so in saying that there is a higher chance that Atticus will win.
Somehow I do not see the author of this book as one of the happy ending guys. While I have watched my share of law and order, the procedings in the deep south are obviously much more predjudiced. After reaching the end of the book I honestly did not look back on the trial in a good light but it does end on a positive note in my opinion other than that. Alexandra does at least become bearable.
