SLICK WILLY
Hey boyz and girlz. This book is honestly pitiful for the most part. I do not understand what is really happening. Nothing seems to be really happening. Yes, its cute for a while how the children Dill, Jem and Scout play wild games during the summer, but it quickly gets old. They go to school, come home, play outside. BAM! Theres the story so far. They sneak into the Radleys backyard which i have to admit is an amusing part of this book. The old man with the shotgun is absolutly hilarious. "Shot in the air. Scared him pale, though. Says if anybody sees a white nigger around, that's the one." (55) This part really cracks me up and was pretty entertaining. Other than that, i really have been bored..up to chapter 8. Maybe it will get better. Peace.

This book would definately not be my first choice, that is for sure. Although for some reason Scout as a character is starting to grow on me. I am looking forward to the trial even though I have a sinking feeling that, like many trials during this time, the defendant is going to get the short end of stick.

Okay .. so this book has a different kind of structure.
All of the action pretty much happens at one time, unlike some books we are used to reading.
It all comes together in the end.
But not a whole lot happens until then. You'll just have to read until you get to the good stuff.
Kind of similar to eating an oreo.. you have to eat the cookie to get to the yummy cream :)
Go through the cookie first.
To be honest 88 keys, that makes no sense. I tend to enjoy the cookie more than the cream...sooo??
It gets better. When the Scout and Dill get shot at, it is pretty funny. Also, when they start to find things in the tree, things start to get a lot better.
I liked the tree incidents but was really mad when Mr. Avery filled it up...He said it was becuase the tree was sick but it obviously wasn't. Why didn't he want them finding things in the tree? I have no idea but he seems like a spoil sport
